Sri lankans traditionally enjoy this coconut relish / pol sambol recipe with bread , steamed rice , string hoppers also with waffles as well mostly in their breakfast meal.This is a food recipe which will boost your energy and add up many nutrients which is needed by your body.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cups of scraped coconut
- 1/2 of big onion finely chopped
- 1 green chili finely chopped
- 2 tea spoons of chili powder
- 1/2 tea spoon of chili flakes
- 1/4 tea spoon of black pepper powder
- 1 tea spoon of Maldive fish chips
- 1 tea spoon of lime juice
- 1 1/2 tea spoon of salt (vary based on your preference)
- 4-5 finely chopped curry leaves
METHOD
- Put all the ingredients except lime juice to a grinder with a dry blade and grind well for a second
- Put the grinned mixture to a dish, add lime juice to it, mix it using your hand
- Serve to your loved ones with some steamed rice or string hoppers
