Molten chocolate cake / chocolate lava cake is a dessert that is preferred by everyone irrespective of their age. - Baking time will differ based on the container that you will be using to bake the cake. If you use ramekins to bake the cake, the time will vary between 8-12 minutes
INGREDIENTS
- 113 g / 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 188 g of chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks (without egg white)
- Pinch of salt
- 2 1/2 table spoons of flour
METHOD
- Add butter and chocolate to a bowl, melt them
- After melting add 1/2 tea spoon of instant coffee, pinch of salt and whisk them
- Put the two eggs and two egg yolks to another bowl & beat them
- Combine the chocolate mixture and egg mixture, fold / mix using a spatula (do not beat)
- Add 2 1/2 table spoon of flour to the above mixture and mix them up
- Take the ramekins or any other container that you are going to bake, apply butter in the inner surface of the container & sprinkle some flour to the inner surface (so that the cake won't stick to the container you are baking on)
- Then pour the mixture to the containers
- Bake at 450 F / 232 C for 8-12 minutes (based on the container you are baking time will differ, better to use ramekin or smaller ceramic cup to bake a perfect lava cake)
