Milk rice (kiribath)



INGREDIENTS
  • 250 g of white rice 
  • 2 / 2 1/2 cups of coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
METHOD
  • Wash the rice and put into a cooking pot, add 2 cups or 2 1/2 cups of water
  • In the 1st 2 minutes cook in the high flame and then lower the flame and cook the rice (it will take about 15 minutes to cook)
  • Add salt to the 2 cups of coconut milk and mix
  • Add the coconut milk mixture in to the pot with cooked rice and mix it (stir it for about 10 minutes continuously)
  • Then put the milk rice to a tray / plate and spread evenly using a spatula
  • Let it rest for about 2 minutes and then by using a knife cut into pieces
